Why is yoga important in tween and teen years?
Our tweens and teens are distracted away and pulled apart in so many directions with trouble sleeping and restlessness minds. The problem of obesity, built-up stress and anxiety result in their lack of confidence and even affect their mental and emotional health.
Yoga improve flexibility, strength, balance, and stamina. In addition, it reduces anxiety and stress, improves mental clarity, and even helps them sleep better.
How is tween and teen yoga different than kids yoga?
Going through the preadolescence and adolescence years, they may feel overwhelmed by the emotional and physical changes. They may experience challenges with their mind body connection.
Our intentional yoga and meditaiton practice include breathing techniques, mindfulness guidelines, and physical postures. We are also aware that they have developed the ability and strength to hold poses for longer.
